In the previous post, I mentioned I did custom boots for Kureha’s dress as a part of the set, but they weren’t finished. This weekend I went to my parent’s and with my father’s help, we finished them!

I also took the chance to take a few pictures of my Nia-chan, she insisted on modeling for the boots :3

At first, when I was ask to commission the dress, I didn’t include the boots since I didn’t knew if I would be able to figure out how to make them. I have to say I feel very lucky my father loves to work with wood and scale models, so he agreed to help me and give it a try :)

He made a wooden mold of the base and separately molded the heels. I sewed the fabric, and then glued it all together… in summary that is :)

Due to the initial design of the boot, we couldn’t at a round shape to the tip of the shoe, but I think that it doesn’t look bad this way either.

They are stable, the doll can stand without a stand xD.

We will work on more types of shoes, I would love to have custom made sandals, those are much easier to make, but probably you will see it next year, since summer is already ending >_<
